The Papakura Harriers are a section of the Papakura Athletic & Harrier Club Inc., based at Massey Park, Papakura, Auckland, New Zealand. We cater for a range of interests, but our main focus is on Cross Country and Road events, around which, our current program of winter and summer events is arranged.

The main theme of the section is partcipation in a healthy activity in an enviroment of friendliness and encouragement. Whether your main interests or goals are building your fitness for general fun running, or competing in endurance events from friendly road-walking to short course cross country and full marathons, the Harriers section offers a full year round program catering for training for all distances. Our clubrooms are a focal point for Summer 10km and 5km road racing. In the winter season from April to July, cross country events take place at a number of local venues. Auckland Grand Prix Cross Country events are incorporated into the winter calendar, including HEB Cross Country at the Franklin A & P Showgrounds Pukekohe and the Auckland Cross Country Championships

Children are actively encouraged to participate in the various age groups in scratch and handicap events in both Cross Country & Road races during the winter months.
Children's Section Summer Athletics Track & Field begins in October, under 15 year olds compete each Wednesday 6:15pm with the Tiny tots 1 - 5yrs running at 5:45pm. During the summer months interclub events, (Hot Meets for older teenagers and Seniors) are held regularly on weekends at different venues around Auckland. Interprovincial and National Championship events are held over the latter part of the summer.

For athletes over 35, Auckland Masters Association runs a series of Top Team events through the summer at Mount Smart Stadium that provides an opportunity to compete in all disciplines Track & Field.

Club racing extends into the spring months with road racing from the clubrooms and for those wanting to build speed for the coming track season, there is the option of track sessions on the soon to re-surfaced all-weather track at Massey Park. (we are currently running on a certified 400m grass track on Mansel Field while refurbishments at Massey Park are in progress - we expect to return to the Massey Park all weather track sometime after March 2012) The Summer Road Season commences in October with weekly, Wednesday night racing, culminating in a pre-Christmas 10km handicap race and barbeque, involving runners and family.
